// What We Do

Construction CRM Consulting for Commercial Contractors

IdealRev sets up CRMs for commercial contractors and subcontractors and trains the team to use them. We pick the platform that fits your size, build the pipeline around how construction work actually gets awarded (target accounts, relationships, bid invites, proposals, awarded), clean up and migrate your data, and set the daily habits that keep it alive. We are not a software vendor. We run sales inside these systems every day.

// 01 The Problem

Most Contractors Don’t Have a Pipeline Problem. They Have a Tracking Problem.

The relationships exist. The bid invites come in. But the follow-up lives in one estimator’s inbox, and the contact list is a spreadsheet from three years ago.

Deals in commercial construction rarely die because someone said no. They die because nobody followed up after the bid, and nobody tracked when the next project was breaking ground.

Plenty of contractors have already bought a CRM once. It got set up like a generic sales tool, it didn’t match how construction work actually gets awarded, and within two months everyone was back in their inbox.

We set it up the other way. Built around pursuits, bid dates, and follow-up instead of a generic sales funnel, loaded with your real relationships, and simple enough that your estimators and PMs actually use it. Then we train the team and stay on it, so it is still running six months from now.

How a construction CRM should work: know who you know, track every interaction, track incoming work, know what happens next, see your pipeline, and know what is working.

Common Questions About CRMs for Construction

The one your team will actually use. For most commercial contractors under $100M, a simple pipeline-first CRM beats a heavy all-in-one platform. You need relationship tracking, follow-up reminders, and a clear pipeline view, not another project management suite. We recommend based on your size and how you sell, and we are not paid by any software company. If HubSpot is on your shortlist, read our honest review of HubSpot as a construction CRM.

Depends on what is broken. If the problem is running jobs, you need project management software and you probably already have it. If the problem is that nobody follows up after the bid and the owner cannot see the pipeline, you need a sales CRM. Tools that promise both usually do the job side well and the sales side badly. For most commercial contractors we set up a dedicated sales CRM and connect it to whatever runs the jobs.

Project management software runs the job after you win it. A CRM runs everything before that: the relationships, the pursuits, the bids, and the follow-up that gets you the job. Most contractors have the first and are missing the second.

Usually, yes, and it is usually not the software’s fault. Most dead CRMs were set up like a generic sales tool instead of around how construction work gets awarded. We rebuild the pipelines around your actual process, clean the data, and retrain the team. If the platform truly is wrong for you, we will say so and move you.

That is exactly when you need one. Referral and repeat work runs on relationships, and relationships run on consistent touchpoints. A CRM is how you make sure the developer who gave you two projects hears from you before the third one goes to someone else.

Setup depends on team size and how much data needs cleaning. Most engagements are a one-time setup project, with optional monthly management after. It is a fraction of one lost project. Book a call and we will scope it in 30 minutes.

HubSpot most often, because it fits how most contractors under $100M sell and the free and starter tiers go a long way. We also set up Projectmark, which is built for construction pursuits, and Pipedrive for teams that want something simple. Plenty of contractors are on Buildertrend or Contractor Foreman for jobs and still have no sales pipeline at all. If you already own something that can be made to work, we will use it rather than sell you a switch.

No. If your team is already on HubSpot, ProjectMark, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel, or something else, we work in it. We set up the pipeline, define the stages, and get your team using it. Switching platforms only comes up if what you have cannot do what you need.
